This vast 55-acre collection of geographically themed gardens offers the opportunity to see - and learn the names of - plants from all over the world. It also features some of the most charming walking paths and grassy picnic areas in all of Golden Gate Park. Gates are open 7:30am daily, and last entry varies by season. Admission is free with proof of San Francisco residency, and to everyone from 7:30 to 9:00am. Admission fees from 9:00am to last entry are $8 for adults, $6 youth/seniors, $2 children. Details are available at www.sfbotanicalgarden.org.
